Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026  •  Data controller: KAWHUDS GROUP LTD (Co. No. 17092932, England & Wales)

Parts Hunter ("we", "us", "our") operates the Parts Hunter mobile app and website (the "Service"), connecting buyers, verified sellers, and delivery riders for automotive parts across multiple countries. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can control or delete it.

1. Information we collect

2. How we use your information

3. Who we share information with

We share information only where necessary to operate the Service:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Location data specifically

We ask for location permission to let you set delivery addresses accurately and — for riders — to enable live tracking during an active order. You can decline location access, though this limits features like automatic address capture and real-time tracking. You can withdraw location or camera permission at any time in your device settings.

5. Data retention

We retain account and order information for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations (up to 7 years for transaction records under UK record-keeping requirements). When you delete your account, your personal identifiers are removed as described below, while anonymized transaction records are retained where the law requires.

6. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your Parts Hunter account at any time, using either of two routes:

  • In the app: open Settings → Delete account and confirm. Deletion takes effect immediately.
  • On the web (no app needed): submit a request at partshunter.co.uk/delete-account. Requests are reviewed and processed within 30 days.

Deletion removes your name, email address, phone number, password, and profile photo, and permanently deactivates the account. Completed order and payment records are kept in anonymized form (no longer linked to an identifiable person) to meet tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations.

7. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and equivalent laws where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. International data transfers

Parts Hunter operates across multiple countries. Your information may be processed and stored in a country other than where you live, including in jurisdictions whose data protection laws differ from your own. Where we transfer information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards (including UK Standard Contractual Clauses) to keep it protected consistent with this policy.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and signed authentication sessions for administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and encourage you to review this page periodically.
